Isaak Rooble

Isaak Rooble is a Somali-American leader who came to the United States from Somalia in 2011. Now a father of teenagers raising his family in Bloomington, Minnesota, he has spent fifteen years walking alongside East African and Somali families across Minnesota as a trusted neighbor, advocate, and bridge-builder.

For the past ten years, Isaak has mentored 30 young people one-on-one, ages 10 to 25, helping them stay in school, avoid crisis, and move toward stable adulthood. He is currently pursuing a mental health degree at Hamline University, on the path to becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), so he can bring both lived experience and professional training to the families he serves.

In mosques, apartment buildings, and neighborhood gatherings, Isaak is known and trusted. Mothers, elders, and community leaders turn to him when a child is struggling, because they know he will show up, listen, and stay with the family for the long journey from crisis to stability.

Our Mission

The Early Intervention Institute of Minnesota partners with East African and Somali families in the Twin Cities to keep youth out of unemployment, school dropout, trouble, and the criminal justice and mental health crisis pipelines — through community-level intervention and prevention, including advocacy services, youth and family counselling, coaching and mentoring, youth support services, and employment services — following the child from age 10 to 25.
501(c)(3) Pending

Our Vision

A Twin Cities where every Somali and East African child reaches adulthood with a diploma, a job, and a community that walked beside them — no child lost to crisis or confinement.
